The Volunteer Centre Network in Wirral promotes best practice in volunteer management. We currently have a membership of over 260 local volunteer-involving organisations

One-to-one support sessions with our Development Team

Our Development Team are experienced in working with and supporting local volunteer-involving organisations and offer a free advice and support service on a wide range of volunteering issues.

Whether based at any of the Volunteer Centres or at your own premises, we can meet with you to discuss your particular requirements. Whether your organisation is big or small, already runs a volunteer programme or is considering involving volunteers for the first time, we can offer you advice tailored to your organisation's needs:

Guidance on how to set up a volunteer programme and help in developing new volunteering opportunities
How best to recruit and retain your volunteers
Help to set up volunteering related policies and practices
General advice on volunteer management issues

Training events and workshops

We offer training and workshops aimed at helping you to work effectively with volunteers. These can take the form of either one-off training sessions on specific topics, or informal workshops and information sessions held as part of the Volunteer Organisers Forum. Volunteer coordinators meetings
