Across Wirral, volunteer play a vital role in improving the quality of life of people in their local communities.
Volunteer recognition scheme are an ideal way of highlighting the skills, time and commitment commitment given by your volunteers and allow you to say a public 'thank you' to them for all their hard work.
There are a number of award schemes in Wirral:
Wirral 100 Hours Certificate
Awarded for 100 hours of voluntary work
Wirral Student Volunteer Certificate
Awarded for voluntary work carried out over an academic year. Students do not have to complete a set number of hours but need to show commitment by attedning on regular basis. A great addition to your CV.
Long Service Medallion Award
Presented to volunteers who have been nominated for their long service in voluntary work. There are four awards, bronze, silver, gold and platinum, ranging from 3 to 20+ years service.
Wirral Volunteer of the Year
Recognises volunteers in 6 categories - waged, unwaged, younger person, person with a disability and a specialist category which changes each year.
Awards are presented by the Mayor of Wirral at special award ceremonies held throughout the year.
